It started in 1981, when Bill Markve opened Bill Markve & Associates in the Heartland — built on a simple belief: people deserve honest advice and insurance that actually protects them.
Brandon and Blake Markve grew up in the business, watching their father put clients first, year after year. They didn't just inherit the agency — they lived it from the inside out. Brandon came on board in 2002, specializing in Property & Casualty. Blake followed, leading Health & Employee Benefits.
In 2016, the brothers launched Markve Insurance Solutions — rebranding and expanding while carrying every bit of the family's client-first philosophy forward. Today, two offices across South Dakota serve families, farms, and businesses licensed across 12 states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, and South Dakota.

Brandon has been in insurance since 2002 — starting at his father's agency, learning the business from the ground up. He holds a degree from the University of South Dakota Business School and continued his education at Bellevue University (Business Administration).
As Co-Owner and Property & Casualty Director, Brandon oversees all personal and commercial P&C lines: home, auto, business, farm & ranch, umbrella, and renters insurance. He is also licensed in Life & Health.
Brandon's two-plus decades of hands-on experience and deep regional knowledge make him one of the most trusted independent insurance advisors in the region. Licensed across 12 states, he's the agent who picks up when a hailstorm hits.

As Co-Owner and Health Director, Blake leads all individual health plans, Medicare supplement, and group/employee benefits programs. He is licensed in Life & Health across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
After heading the Health & Benefits division at Bill Markve & Associates, Blake co-founded Markve Insurance Solutions with Brandon in 2016. Licensed across 12 states, his straightforward, no-pressure approach has earned the trust of hundreds of families and business owners navigating the complex world of health coverage.
